Global Entrepreneurship Week
Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is as global as it gets, with 35 000 events happening simultaneously throughout week 47 in 125 countries. The goal of the initiative is to build a global community of people exploring and implementing better ways of doing things and improving the lives of citizens.
Part of GEW is the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), that through its efforts, programs and members is building one global entrepreneurial ecosystem. Launched in 2008, today it’s expanded to over 170 countries and has 20 000 partnering organisations that all help to develop a strong base for GEN. This network connects communities and countries of diverse economy and maturity in the ecosystem, it fosters meaningful cross-border collaborations between investors, researches, entrepreneurs, policymakers and support organizations.
Denmark’s Entrepreneurship Week
The sun is shining again this November for entrepreneurial Denmark. In week 47, from 18th to 24th of November, the Danish Entrepreneurship Week is coming strong with 200 events all over the country. Denmark’s Entrepreneurship Week represents an annual non-profit entrepreneurial effort that for the past 12 years has contributed to creating a network of over 120 organizations and companies. Each year there is a different theme present throughout all entrepreneurship related topics from sales and marketing to strategy and funding. This year, the chosen theme is everything related to innovative, inspiring, and purpose-driven green entrepreneurship, with the hashtag #grønnerollemodeller.

More specifically around Fyn, on Week 47, Stjerneskibet’s Entrepreneurship festival (Iværksætterfestival) is taking over Odense with several entrepreneurship-themed events. The festival features a wide range of sessions and workshops, covering topics such as digital customer journey, how to sell on the B2B market through LinkedIn, or overall how to launch a product or service to success. Over five days, in addition to learning about modern business practices, hearing about new ideas and gaining inspiration for projects, there is also plenty of opportunities for networking. Most of the events are free and there is something for everyone as one thing is for sure: the festival is perfect for all people interested in entrepreneurship.
Save the dates, mark them in the calendar and make sure to sign up for as many events as you can!
